Tor is unbrowsable

Hello.

I'm a rookie Tor user so there's probably much I don't understand.

Recently my ISP decided to roll out a stupid filter that my landlord HASN'T opted out of so I'm stuck with filtered internet. Apart from calling my landlord to complain I can't access porn or dodgy sites I decided to try and use Tor; I've used Tor in the past to access torrent sites that were filtered, but now I'm having to use it for most things un-accessable via ISP.

My problem is that it's just too unusable to be used practically, for example I can't download any torrents from JavJunkies.com as it always complains the server is under heavy load; this has never happened before. The most annoying part is I get 'CloudFlare' requests every minute from most sites which are almost impossible to read as a human being.

Is there something I can do with any of this? I have no knowledge about any kind of configuration or understand much about this, sadly.

Thanks for reading.

I think you should consider using VPN instead of Tor. Like hide.me or something.

For your situation this will give much better speed, you'll have IP from a different country, and it will be not associated with Tor. And you'll be able to download torrents.

Your ISP will see only one outgoing SSL connection and have no idea what's inside.

Thanks for your response, however I did try the VPN you suggested with a major flaw.

The ISP has simply blocked VPN connections, initially I thought it may have been the router as it was returning the error 'CONNECTION_CLOSED' which did turn out to be the case, but once I enabled all the required modes in the router the ISP refused access with their "This site is blocked" page.

So I'm just stuck basically, I have no control over the ISP since it's not me who pays the bill.
