Facebook over Tor

I'm somewhat new to Tor and just learning about best practices and how everything works.

If I must use Facebook (obviously it's better not to have one), am I better off using it through the Tor browser or through Firefox without Tor?

I guess, Facebook won't let you log in through Tor. It blocks Tor exit nodes (maybe not all of them though).

Fresh clean installation of Firefox, on fresh clean system (inside VirtualBox or VMWare), with manually changed MAC address & from any public WI-FI place with no CCTV nearby.

"trommler"

Facebook sees:
1) Your IP address
2) Your User-Agent, OS, configuration
3) Your Unique ID (by cookies etc)
4) Information you submit there (email, name, who is your friends, photos & so on)

Tor hides only 1)
Tor Browser Bundle also hides 2) and likely 3), but you better don't rely on it.

Better solution is to use Virtual Environment Installation, such as Tails or Whonix. It hides 2) and 3) for sure.

But the main problem is still 4). This is where most of the people fail, and this is how Silk Road was seized.

Facebook does not like Tor... trust me don't log into facebook on tor as you might loose your facebook account.

I understand not wanting to use facebook as it is so important these days, So give them as much fake data as possible, fake name date of birth etc and have a browser for facebook only. Also facebook is not the worst spy out there, the Fifa site is worse.

I actually run this facebook group if you are interested. https://www.facebook.com/groups/240021309453324/
