Hidden service issue

last year

I am trying to create an .onion website on my Mac. Basically, I followed all the steps several times in the how to guide, but could not manage to make it work.
I am using Tor 4.5.
Basically, I installed Tor and Macports just like in the guide, then modified my torrc file The one located in Macintosh HD ? Applications ? TorBrowser ? TorBrowser ? Data ? Tor
To add the following line:
HiddenServiceDir /Library/Tor/var/lib/tor/hidden_service/
HiddenServicePort 80

Then I created the actual directory using this command:
sudo mkdir -p /Library/Tor/var/lib/tor/hidden_service/

And as soon as I try to start Tor, I get this message:
"Tor unexpectedly exited. This might be due to a bug in Tor itself, another program on your system, or faulty hardware. Until you restart Tor, the Tor Browser will not able to reach any websites. If the problem persists, please send a copy of your Tor Log to the support team.

Restarting Tor will not close your browser tabs."

If I try to copy the log, it says that 0 elements were copied in the clipboard.
If anyone is able to help on that, I would greatly appreciate it!

What happens when you comment out these two lines?

# HiddenServiceDir /Library/Tor/var/lib/tor/hidden_service/
# HiddenServicePort 80

Does Tor work with default settings?
